I know, I know, it’s a little on the later side of the Holiday, but I’m sure you’ve all shoved aside the Honeybaked ham, chocolate bunny heads and hardboiled chicken young to leave room for this tasty morsel:

That would be Schäffer the Darklord (STD, to his pals and a laundry list of unhappy nerdcore fangirls) performing “Night of the Living Christ” at Nerdapalooza 2009.

The good Doctor and I have actually been kicking this jam for quite some time now, but yet haven’t done a post on it. I figured it might have been because although this is fairly new stuff for us (or at least me), this might be old hat to most others. It’d be like trying to pawn this oldie but goodie off as brand new. Then it dawned on me, the one time where it’s not only appropriate, but mandatory to dig out the old stuff is a Holiday. All you have to do is slap the “traditional” tag on it, and bam! free pass to rehash.

So consider this to be the traditional Zombie Easter song. Teach it to your kids. It’s at least as sacrilegious as telling them a giant rabbit robs and vandalizes dozens of eggs for them to hunt down and devour the following morning.
